​We, the undersigned loyal customers, are calling on Estée Lauder to reinstate the original 1997 formula of the Double Wear Stay-in-Place Makeup. While we understand the desire for innovation, the recent "new formula" has compromised the very qualities that made this product a global best-seller and a staple in our daily lives.

​The Issue:
​For nearly three decades, Double Wear was the industry gold standard for its unmatched longevity, skin-like but matte finish, and reliability. Unfortunately, the new formula fails to meet these standards.

Many customers report...

• ​Reduced Wear Time - It doesn't last 24 hours or more than it states.
• Texture Issues - The product now settles into fine lines, or "breaks up" throughout the day.
• ​Oxidation - The shades no longer remain true to color, often turning orange or darkening shortly after application.
• ​Skin Sensitivities - Long-time users are experiencing breakouts or irritation from the new ingredients.

​Why It Matters:
​We aren't just casual consumers; we are a community that has stayed loyal to Estée Lauder for years and in many cases, decades, specifically because of this one product. By changing the "Holy Grail" of foundations, the brand has alienated its most dedicated customer base and forced us to look toward competitors for replacements.

​We respectfully ask Estée Lauder to...

​Relaunch the original formula as "Double Wear Classic" or "Original Formula."
