Copy of Speech by Dr. John Calabrese on "100 YEARS OF ART AND HISTORY AT ST. MICHAEL'S CHURCH"

Follow the address below for a copy of the talk by Dr. John Calabrese delivered on Dec. 13 at St. Michael’s Church on, “100 years of Art and History at St. Michael’s Church”. Over 225 people attended and were thrilled to hear this Artist and Professor of Art, who is a graduate of St. Michael’s School, describe the concepts, messages, and beliefs of the original designers and builders of the 112 year old Renaissance Church. Reporters and photographers from the Press of Atlantic City, the Catholic Star Herald, and the Philadelphia Daily News covered the event. As the presentation demonstrated, the art and structure of St. Michael's Church continues to talk to all of us about Hope. This virtue was built into its architecture, paintings, statues, and frescos 100 years ago and it continues to be the heart and soul of the community. This timeless gift cannot be destroyed by unemployment, cynicism, or greed and is available for all who seek it. Please consider making a pledge to the St. Michael's Church Preservation Society.
