The Issue

Rugby Afrique, being one of the 6 regional associations of World Rugby that assembles all African nations that practice 15s and 7s rugby, decided that the African qualifiers for Rugby World Cup 2023 should be hosted by France and not on the African continent.

Africa as a continent consists of 54 countries with 39 of these being active members to the association and 24 of these are full/ associate members of the World Rugby but non of them will host African qualifiers except France.

We deserve to be accorded priority to host our own tournaments (qualifiers) before anyone else outside the continent is considered. For starters the English Premier League can not to be hosted in any other country especially one outside Europe to say the least.

This needs to be revised before the tournament kicks off, we as Africans deserve respect, full emancipation in especially sports corridors as this is one way to fully embrace fairness and sportsmanship at its best.
