Tura Beach retirees can't get EFTPOS bill-paying services, money orders, money transfers, PO boxes, send parcels and all the other normal services of a Licenced Post Office (LPO) because they only have the most restricted form of post agency in the local newsagency, which can only sell stamps and accept letters.  Yet 12 other centres in the Bega Valley Shire (largest coastal shire in NSW)have full post offices with far, far smaller populations. Tura/Mirador has the second largest, and fastest-growing, population ( two-thirds over-65) in the shire, but the worst postal service access. Seniors who can't pay bills online drive 7kms to Merimbula Post Shop, steep steps, only 3 parking spots, always queues. Tura's Woolworths complex has flat access, 300 parking spots, no queues.
