On 14 December 2017 my most recent bridging visa will expire and I don't know what will happen to me. The Minister for Immigration and Border Protection, Peter Dutton, expects me to have made plans to leave Australia and return to Iran, but that is simply too dangerous for me - I would face prison, torture and possibly execution. My husband, Milad Jafari, has now completed all the paperwork and the test to become an Australian Citizen - soon he will officially be Australian, as I long to be. This photo was taken on the day he completed his Citizenship Test - we were so happy! But on 14 December, I could be taken back into Immigration Detention and ripped apart from my husband and community once again. It would break my heart. Please, if you have not done so already, forward my petition to friends and family to sign so Minister Dutton knows that the Australian people want to keep me safe here in the country I now call home. All I want is the opportunity to apply for a partner visa so I can permanently stay in Australia and raise my children here in safety with my husband. Please - tell Minister Dutton #MojganMustStay!
