On a recent TV program, called Gogglebox, everyday people were filmed reacting to my story. It showed people crying and frustrated. I felt these people really understood my situation, and like me, they can’t understand why I can’t live freely in the community with my husband. It was a powerful message to Minister Peter Dutton that many Australians would gladly welcome me into this wonderful country. https://www.facebook.com/Change.orgAustralia/videos/1577845898922125/ Would you please share this video on your Facebook pages and email it to your family and friends? Thank you to everyone who has emailed me messages of support; some have sent their messages along with their photos and others have forwarded me the emails and letters they have sent to Minister Dutton. I really appreciate the time you have taken to help me. I am sorry that I have not been able to reply individually to each of your emails because there have been so many! I am heart-warmed to see so many Australian people from different backgrounds passionate about me staying. I belong here, this is my home. But unless Immigration Minister Peter Dutton acknowledges this and grants me permanent residency, I remain at dangerous risk of being forced back into immigration detention, or worse, to the torture that would be waiting for me back in Iran. I will keep you updated. Thank you again for all your beautiful support. It lifts my spirit to know so many good people care about me.
