There are no federal laws for residential schools, otherwise known as boarding schools, therapeutic schools, or programs. The state laws are not enough to govern these facilities. There are thousands of children all over our country attending these programs that parents have chosen based on false information. Often, local politicians have a hand in these things, another reason federal regulation is imperative.
