Politics and empathy have always been two passions of mine. Last year, I, along with others, helped six hundred thousand adopted New Yorkers achieve a huge step in equality by unsealing original birth certificates which will help people access better treatment plans for themselves and their children, along with expose corruption and help some cold case homicides to be solved. However, the work of making New York State equal for all is still not over. Not all New York State residents have equal access to life saving medications due to costs. Others live in bare existence living off of less nutritious canned food just to be able to afford their medication. 

We, the undersigned, ask the New York State House of Representatives to propose a bill that will become law by 2021 that permits all New York State residents the ability to always have their life saving medication regardless of whether or not they can afford it.  We ask that part of that bill includes caps put on the prices of life saving medications such as: Epi-pens, insulin, and HIV medications.

This will help to save lives and boost the New York State economy.
