As some of you may know, Perth and Kinross council plan to spend 12 MILLION POUNDS on lighting for the city centre. I find this absurd and the reason why is simple Perth is on its knees! The collapse of McEwen's Department store, City Hall and the "will they knock it down, won't they?" game we have been hearing about for far too long, St Paul's Church that's been closed for longer than I have been alive that is frankly an embarrassment and an eyesore to the City. Don't even get me started on Parking and the unfortunate suffering it has caused independent buissnesses on South and St Johns Street as well as many more. The Waverley Hotel is a disaster and the Harry's/Sportsters/City building is also now empty, The Clachan Bar which has also been closed for years and the closure of Quality Cafe next to it on Methven Street. Lights are not going to fix these problems! Please sign if you feel this money could make a proper difference to Perth, add comments and let us all know how you feel about these plans, Thank you!
