Hello!

I am a student at Petaluma High School, and I am here to say that A+ time is a mistake.  Although it has good intentions, it is not going to solve the problem of making students work that don’t want to. Students that don’t want to work won’t. It doesn’t matter if they’re in class or out talking to their friends in the quad. And since those students are forced to stay in class, it is likely that they will be disruptive and teachers will have to keep an eye on them.  And if teachers are doing that, they can’t give individual students that need help the one-on-one time that they deserve. This makes it so that the students that actually took advantage of and need tutorial are disadvantaged. They’re also unable to go to classes that they really need extra help in without scheduling an appointment beforehand. This isn’t always realistic, because you sometimes don’t know you need help far in advance.

Please, PHS administrators, get rid of A+ time!
