Save Elephants. Save the elephants of Odisha.

Save Elephants. Save the elephants of Odisha.
The Issue
I'm a 19 year old, with a habit of reading newspaper. It's depressing to see the innocent creatures being killed inhumanely daily...apart from those rapes, murders and honour killings(these are the reasons of maximum deaths). Small babies are set on fire, tails set on fire. Its happening because they get into human residential areas. Apart from that...these elephant death cases are no new...many get hit by the train.87 elephants have died in year 2018-19.And sadly most were female. The population is decreasing drastically. Odisha is turning to be a graveyard for those gentle giants. We have lost 732 elephants to be precise in last decade. Its the highest ever death rate. As per my data collection only 11% of them have died naturally and rest of those 732 have died either of electrocution or hit by train or by poaching.
Immediate actions is a must. Its our responsibility to give them space to survive from whom we curbed the forests from. Pretty shameful act!
Blest with brains and using it for self interest is no heroic act. Respect mother nature and her creations.
Lets all of us save ELEPHANTS OF ODISHA.
They were set on fire for getting into human settlements...then what do us humans deserve for destroying their homes, killing them for bussiness and recreation?
Funniest part ,those forests were cleared for agricultural lands and now I see these agricultural lands transforming it shopping complexes and buildings.
The day is not far when human will be the victim of his own deeds.
After how many extinctions are we going to realize that we need to maintain a balanced. Even after such mass destruction and extinctions we can only think of recreation and making money! Shame on this creation.
