I discovered yesterday that you have to pay your vet bill, THEN claim your insurance. 

 

I have been paying PET insurance for my 13yo little dog, Walter, for around 10 years, with a 3 year gap when we lived in Outback Oz for 3 years, because I NEVER wanted to be put in a situation that if something serious happened to him, I couldn't afford to give him medical care.

 

I'm self employed and don't always have savings, especially in this time and day when living costs are so high.

If you have Pet Insurance you must pay the vet first, then put the claim to your insurance.

What if its a serious condition,  and you don't have the funds?

 

Whats my option? Let him suffer?  Have him put down, even though I have insurance , as Pet-N-Sur states 'to put your mind at ease'.

 

I thought having PET INSURANCE would take this stress away.

 

 

 

I know MANY others with pets have encountered this predicament. 

 

What this petition is for is to change this procedure, that people with PET INSURANCE are given an acceptable window to claim the insurance for any procedures FIRST and then pay the vet.

 

Pets are our children, for many of us. All pet owners KNOW how expensive vet bills are.  

 

PLEASE SIGN THIS PETITION to allow valid PET INSURANCE policies to be paid out first, then pay the veterinarian within an acceptable time frame.
