People before profit Motion calling for reduction in fees 9/8/22

People Before Profit's motion calling for a reduction of £1260 burial fees for Colin Residents in Blaris Cemetary has passed committee stage tonight. 

Despite purchasing the graves while residents of Lisburn and Castlereagh Council prior to 2015, many Colin Residents are now paying more than three times the rate of Lisburn and Castlereagh ratepayers for burials in Blaris Cemetery.

People Before Profit will continue to campaign to ensure these unduly high fees are reduced.

Glad to say our motion passed at Council tonight calling for reduced burial fees for Colin Residents at Blaris Cemetery.
