My brother and his wife recently welcomed a beloved dog into their home, sparking joy not only in their lives but in the whole family. This addition has been heartwarming to witness and has led us to the desire of extending our circle of love. We wish to adopt a companion dog that needs a safe and loving home. Despite our eagerness, we face a hurdle - our father does not share our fondness for dogs. This petition serves as a plea to our dad; we wish he would understand the invaluable companionship dogs offer. According to a study by Harvard Medical School, dogs are not just our best friends but also contribute to our well-being, by boosting our physical and mental health. Having an additional dog in our family won't only benefit the new pup but would also provide companionship for our existing dog, as per studies indicating that dogs usually enjoy the company of their fellow canines (Science Direct, 2019). More than that, it would mean another friend for us all, a new family member full of devotion and love. I request all, who understand the immense love a pet can bring to a family, to support our plea: Persuade our dad to let us adopt this dog that needs a home.
