Hindustan Antibiotics Ltd a premier central public sector pharma company based at Pimpri Pune Maharashtra started in 1954  has produced number of essential drugs for the people of India particularly for the children.The company competed with the MNCs who reign the indian pharma market by bringing down the prices drastically . In the social cause during  the Epidemics, Natural Disaster like FLOODS,EARTHQUAKE the company manufactured a lot of medicines and distributed freely at the instance of the GOI. Due to the Globalisation and free market policies the support from the GOI was reduced to nill and the funds were not provided by the GOI..Around 1100 employees are working  and the company is not paying the salaries for thepast 17 months .The management has not paid the gratuity amount to the retired employees and other legitmate benefits for the past 5 years..
