Well, the November 6 protest was a failure. However, there are some reasons why it failed:
-No one showed up. We were either demotivated by negative responses about the protest being a failure or we were so lazy we expected other people to show up in our places. Protests are achieved by people showing up. We have to actually go to the location of the protest and protest ourselves. Also, we should never listen to naysayers who say the protests will be a failure. We should finalize on the protest and be dead-set on going to the protest.
-The whole thing was rushed. There wasn't enough time to gather protesters, figure out how to travel to the protest, make picket signs, make food and drink for the day, get together equipment, and figure out what to say. And people were told about the protest too late. For better results, protests should be planned 2 months in advance with plenty of time to get together everything needed.
-The police weren't informed. The police should've been told about the protest so they could make sure it doesn't interfere with other people's lives.
-The pandemic. Some people are scared of COVID-19, but all they had to do was wear a mask, regularly sanitize their hands and socially distance from other people. To make doubly sure, they should've been vaccinated in advance.
Of course, one protest failing doesn't mean we can't try again. So the next protest will be January 15, 2022, which should give you plenty of time to inform people, plan transport, book accommodation, and gather equipment, food and drink.
