Our Muslim community in the Northwest of Regina has been growing and evolving for more than a decade. Today, we find ourselves in urgent need of a permanent place of worship - a masjid. The proposed location for the masjid is 5048 Sherwood Drive, adjacent to the Church parking lot, which is a very suitable place for the community living in this area.

As Muslims, we are required to perform five daily prayers as one of the Five Pillars of Islam. Each of these prayers is ideally performed in a masjid, a sacred location that bolsters our spirits and serves as the beating heart of our community. However, our community in Northwest Regina lacks a permanent location for spiritual advancement activities and the propagation of peace through Islamic teachings.

The purpose of this petition is to bring our plight to the notice of local politicians such as our MPP, MP, councilor, and Mayor, as well as to other communities in the neighborhood. Together, we can make a significant positive impact by assisting our thriving Muslim community in their need for a masjid.

Help us establish a place of worship that will serve as a beacon of community, education, and peace in the Northwest of Regina. Let the Muslim community have a place where they are welcomed to fulfill their religious duties and responsibilities.
