Boycott the 'Perfect Puppy' pet stores!
10 Apr 2016
For those who've commented on their direct experiences w/ 'The Perfect Puppy'- I am so sorry for the pain and suffering you, your family and your puppies have endured. Many of us stand behind you, supporting you. I am going to share the stories from a few of the victims of 'The Perfect Puppy' pet store:
*"Me in my wife bought are dog Layla from the Perfect Puppy in December 2014. Layla was in rough shape, and soon after we took her home things got worse. Layla had multiple skin infections, which we later found out was due to demodectic mange. At one point the vet told us her face was literally "rotting off." This type of mange is passed along through genetics (Layla's mom should never have bred). Not only was the treatment for this disease extremely time consuming and expensive, but it literally almost killed her. The owner of this store should not only be closed down, but also prosecuted.”
*“They sold us a very sick puppy with Kennel Cough and she is still very very sick! Its been 4 months now she is not getting any better! The State of RI needs to set a example! My poor puppy and other puppies from there are very sick! Now a report comes out that the owner shoots sick puppies in their head and burries them in his yard! Please RI help close this puppy mill down and save puppies!”
*“I purchased my dog in 2014. She was very sick when I bought her and almost died. My husband and I spent thousands of dollars between vet appointments, medication and special treatments. We almost had to put her down because we were running out of options. Luckily she pushed through, and is still with us.”
*“My family purchased a Yorkie puppy from The Perfect Puppy a few weeks ago and when we took him home all he did was sleep and didn't eat. We took him to the vet and found out that he had a virus. We brought him back to the store hoping they could take care of him better then we could. A few days later we found out that his sister was brought back to the store with the same sickness. This was hard for my whole family going from the excitement of a new member of our family to heartbreak having to give him back.”
*These people are disgusting. They know they are selling dogs from puppy mills but truly do not care. They claim to be dog lovers and post all this bullshit on social media. Unfortunately that couldn't be farther from the truth. All I did was google the name of the breeder on my paperwork and his name popped up on the humane society's list of "100 worst puppy mills. As if that isn't reason enough to avoid this kennel, my dog also came home sick. This is unfortunately very common when purchasing here. It has actually become a routine practice for the owner to deny, evade and verbally abuse his customers after being confronted with an issue. And to put the icing on the cake this establishment issues inaccurate fraudulent paperwork on their dogs. The agreement for purchase promises warranties on communicable viruses and genetic disorders but they will never follow through on that. They pass blame onto others to avoid dealing with their dogs issues. They claim their dogs are pure bred from family homes, but in reality they are not pure bred and come from places like this."
*“They sold us a very sick puppy 4 months ago and she still is very ill! They did not care and they are very rude and awful people. Our poor puppy is still suffering! So many puppies are sold from there blind or with severe kennel cough and other issues. They need to be shut down asap! Seems like they are a puppy mill! They dont take care of their puppies and dont care they all are sold very sick! Please shut them down!”
*“My puppy Rocco is the best thing that has ever happened to me and what has happened with him because of this sick place is disgusting!”
*“My sister bought a dog there that did not event last 24 hours”
*“A friend bought 2 puppies from this establishment, and they both died of what the vet called "extremely contagious puppy ebola" within 2 weeks”
*“I know how very sick puppy they sold to a family member!”
*“I'm a vet tech and see on a daily basis the lack of care and medical intervention this petstore provides......down with perfect puppy”
Please keep in mind, as you read these experiences, these are people who chose to speak...they represent hundreds of families affected and harmed by 'The Perfect Puppy'.
