Bring Game Fuel back to UK stores

The Issue

It has now been over three painful, arduous years since Game Fuel Mountain Dew (often colloquially referred to as "Tweenie Oil" or simply just "Red Sugar") was last available in UK stores. Much has changed in our world since this has happened. Some things for better, much for worse.

To avoid confusion as to exactly which variety of Mountain Dew I speak of, this petition refers to the Game Fuel line of citrus & cherry flavour energy drinks from Mountain Dew, which was made available in the United Kingdom in late 2012, spanning until early-mid 2013. (I cannot recall the exact dates, I was way too busy just throwin that stuff down me). The drink was sold in the UK as a promotion for the video game Halo 4 which was being released at this time.

Those who now remember the drink, I am sure will be compelled to agree with my case. Although it would be ludicrous to reintroduce the drink to our stores sporting the old logo and details (as well as the competition to win a trip to the Halo HQ, congrats to whoever won that) of Halo 4 - a now three year old game, I cannot possibly fathom why the entire flavour of the drink should be made completely unobtainable to UK consumers simply because the advertising campaign for this specific video game is over.

To my further shock, through research on online forums and fan-developed Wikis (most notably the commendable efforts of the Mountain Dew Wiki - great work guys), it has been brought to my attention that the Game Fuel line has been made available exclusively in the United States during the release of subsequent video games in years following; the most recent being only 2015 to promote the release of Call of Duty: Black Ops III! I find it bad enough that US consumers are treated to a variety of exotic and vibrant flavours which are also no longer allowed in independent UK sweetshops (which is a petition for another day) but I am truly astounded by the ignorance toward the dedicated UK-based Mountain Dew market, who have been deprived of these following allowances of Game Fuel since 2013.

I make this petition not only as an awareness scheme, but as a desperate plea. I for one enjoyed this drink solely for the perfect blend of citrus and cherry (red) flavours, but I hereby make the bold claim that The Pepsi-Cola Company have acted in such a manner which makes it as if, since the fourth instalment of the Halo franchise, the United Kingdom has not actually seen the release of any video game whatsoever. I'm sure many will find this behaviour extremely offensive. Our country's culture may seem secluded in comparison to the plethora and excess of America's, but be assured that we too do have a need for a variation on the classic Mountain Dew formula - of which we continue to tire.

Please, Pepsi. Mountain Dew really does mean a lot to many UK citizens. And I mean like a fuckin lot, that shits basically crack. But a change of heart is needed, and we will fight until this issue is resolved. We'll give you back that horrible Amp stuff in return for it.

Do what's right.
