Pigs are one of the greatest animals on this planet. Humans treat them horrifically in farms only to kill them ruthlessly. The eating of pig causes deterioration of the environment and isn't even good for the human body. Although bacon and ribs tastes great to some people, the taste doesn't compensate for the danger it puts people in, the environment being destroyed, and the pig being gruesomely abused.

Even though the stereotypical pig is a fairly stupid, pink animal that roles around in mud, pigs are one of the smartest animals on this planet. Pigs are ranked sixth on the "Top 10 Smartest Animals" on the Animal Planet website (http://animal.discovery.com/tv/a-list/creature-countdowns/smartest/smartest-06.html). Pigs start social networks with each other, kind of like a little pig FaceBook. If an abandoned piglet is found by a sow, she will nurture it.

Also, eating pig is horrible for the environment for two main reasons. The first is because of the amount of excrement being produced by the millions of pigs. This excrement gets into water ways and makes them undrinkable. The second way this affects the environment is because we're wasting food to feed these animals. We should eat the grain, wheat, and soy that it takes to feed the pig rather than feeding it to the pig, having it consume it and digest it, then eat the pig. We could get ten times more food by eating the grain and soy to feed the pig.
