A pub was built on this Castle Hill site in 1810 for the pleasure of the people of Huddersfield. The pub was pulled down and never rebuilt after an upgrade to the building had fallen outside of the council’s planning permission. Huddersfield has long awaited it’s rebuild and now they propose to build a cafe on the pub’s site. We don’t want a cafe. We want our pub back. It is a fantastic spot for a good old Yorkshire beer!
