So much taxes are collected on businesses, employees, and hard working Filipinos from rich to poor only to be spent TIME AND TIME AGAIN on graft and corrupt ridden public projects, ranging from overpriced computers, flood projects, faulty roads, substandard projects.

The revelation of billions being pocketed by contractors of MOST IF NOT ALL BRANCHES of government has shown a simple fact: IN ITS CURRENT STATE, WE CANNOT TRUST THE GOVERNMENT WITH THE TAXES WE PAY THEM! 

Simply put, the solution is not to transfer flood projects subject to corruption from one branch (DPWH) to another (Education, Health, etc.) because the SAME GOVERNMENT who cannot handle our taxes correctly will be in charge of our taxpayer dollars! ENOUGH IS ENOUGH!

Hence, we believe that the solution is simple: REDUCE THE CORRUPT BLOAT IN THE BUDGET POCKETED BY CONTRACTORS AND GOVERNMENT OFFICIAL ALIKE AND REDUCE OUR TAXES!!

Reducing taxes BENEFITS ALL FILIPINOS and we are assured that we all benefit. We petition to:

1. Reduce our Value Added Taxes on all goods and services (which is the highest in ASEAN and even in most developed countries),
2. Reduce Taxes on Small and Medium Businesses,
3. Eliminate VAT on Electricity

In a small way and in solidarity to the People's March on September 21, and regardless to your political beliefs, this people's initiative signature campaign is a small statement from all of us taxpayers as a demand TO GIVE ALL FILIPINOS A REST!
