We have long needed a phrase that describes the moment one realises that a desired result cannot be acheived without an intermediate action being taken first. For example:

Me: "I'm thinking of selling the car"
Mate: "You'll have to do it up and get through the MOT first"
Me (sighing): "I guess the dwarf lives until we find a cock merchant then."

I propose that as of today, we adopt the phrase, "The dwarf lives, until we find a cock merchant" as such a descriptor.

I think you'll agree that this phrase, first coined in Game Of Thrones Season Five, Episode Six is just perfect for the job!
