On Monday the 8th of February 2021, a man was arrested for throwing and kicking to death, his flatmates innocent 4 year old lap dog.

At the time of the incident, Liam Maxwell was coming down off drugs.

For reasons unknown at the current time, Liam decided to throw poor Oliver across the room several times before kicking the pup to death.

Ollie would have suffered immeasurable pain at the hands of a man he trusted and lived with.

His owner is heartbroken and distraught and this feeling of loss and anger has flowed through on to the Gold Coast community. 

We want answers. But above all, we as a community, want a harsh penalty to be handed down to Liam Maxwell.

We want him to be punished to the full extent of the law. This man took a life. The fact that it was not a human life makes it no better.

We the people of the Gold Coast, now appeal to the local Police Department and the Southport Court House. We want to see Liam Maxwell pay for what he has done. The community will not support a lenient punishment.
