The WNBA is an amazing nationwide league of incredible women athletes and it is growing and thriving across the country. Along the West Coast, we have the Seattle Storm and LA Sparks - but NO current Bay Area / Nor. Cal. WNBA team! https://www.espn.com/wnba/teams  And we have no local professional women's teams at all (hint: let's have a NWSL team / franchise too!).

With the recent Stanford Women's Basketball NCAA championship, the powerhouses that are Cal Women's Basketball, the Univ. of San Francisco's Women's Basketball, and many other Bay Area women's high school and college teams, thriving area female basketball clubs, plus the Warriors, it is clear the Bay Area loves and is amazing at basketball.

We have awe-inspiring girls and women in basketball in our midst, plus a giant, growing fan base to make a WNBA team a successful, supported, and winning one! It's time to bring a WNBA team to the Bay Area! Support this effort, show your interest, and sign the petition to reflect that Northern California is excited to welcome the WNBA!
