Contrary to any documentation or SEPA materials submitted by developer(s), all of us know or should know that the following species exist in and around the construction site to include the critical areas, established buffers, urban forests and Ruggs Lake.  These are actual breeding grounds and migratory and nesting grounds for these species.  Note the following species which are seen and heard in the affected areas:

American Bald Eagles
Hawks
Northern Spotted Owl
Ravens
Pileated Woodpeckers
Hairy and Downy Woodpeckers
Northern Flicker
Chestnut Backed Chickadee
Red Breasted Sapsuckers
Band Tailed Pigeons
Chipmunks
Douglas Squirrels (Native)
Blue Heron
Scores and scores of frogs, newts and other amphibious life
Pacific Tree frogs
Northwestern Salamander
Canada Goose
Songbirds
There is more which will be listed for you soon.

Only recently after Adopt a Stream re-established the existence of salmonids did the developer(s) admit the existence of salmonids which PDS was clearly aware of at least as of 2001.

Inasmuch as “development” will destroy this ecosystem to include buffers, urban forest, critical areas, watershed and the aforementioned habitat, do you agree that your office has a legal duty to protect and sustain this living system?

Given the destruction the proposed development will cause, we urge you to deny this project.  As you may be aware the death of this critical area will also contribute to the inevitable adverse effect of climate change.

Attorney Alex Sidles cautioned PDS from allowing this developer(s) from proceeding with demolishing the houses and obliterating the urban forest without legally obtained permits for this entire project.

We look forward to your favorable response.  Thank you for your courtesy.
