WSDOT recently approved at the request of PDS and the developer, WSDOT approved the developer’s preliminary stormwater report based on the developer’s engineering submission dated Oct 2019 WHICH IS OUTDATED and not subject to consideration in this matter. WSDOT apparently was not provided with the developer’s most recent drainage report dated August 3, 2021. The latter report documents crucial changes to the developer’s design compared to the first report.
AS USUAL THE DEVELOPER, PDS AND WSDOT ARE WORKING TOGETHER TO THE EXCLUSION OF THE CITIZENS. IS IT ANY WONDER THAT THOSE OF US THAT ARE THE LAST TO KNOW ABOUT THIS DISCOVER THIS GLARING DISCREPANCY? Please take a look at Engineer Bill Lider’s email to all concerned confirming WSDOT’s reliance on inaccurate information. (Also see WSDOT’s email to PDS dated 1/4/22) The engineer also reminds that it is inappropriate for WSDOT to make such an approval until the wetland and wetland buffers are recognized by PDS and WSDOT. Previously and all the while, WSDOT has refused the citizen’s request to inspect this property and in the unlikely event that it would grant access, it would cost the citizens $2,500!?!
