Each year in Australia, approximately 570 million animals are killed for the purpose of consumption. Many of the animals at Slaughterhouses are victims of tremendous acts of cruelty before their deaths. Animals in these slaughterhouses are often bludgeoned to death, stabbed to death and have their necks sliced whilst they are still alive and struggling. My aim is not to criticise anyone's beliefs or philosophy, but to urge one cruelty free week whereby we eat only non-meat products. By doing so, in just one week we can spare an estimated 11,000 animal lives. I plead that you be open minded and share this if you are willing to see this happen.
