Hi my name is Catherine Liu and I have begun this petition in order to reduce the painful deaths that many farm animals must endure before being slaughtered. Many people including myself have read articles and watched videos about  the abhorrent stories overflowing from slaughter houses. The truth is, I am just as guilty as those who pull the trigger, but no more. After reading about the latest news regarding the millions of pigs being euthanized due to overcrowding is from covid 19 is just horrific. These animals only want to live but they've become commodities to us. I can no longer stand by and do nothing. I ask you great people if you could sign this petition which will bring change in animal slaughter policies to making sure the animals are killed humanely without the pain of being slaughtered alive or thrown into vats of scolding liquid. They are already giving their lives involuntarily for our satiation and happiness. All it takes is one signature from you. Animals feel fear and pain but they do not have the voice to cry out, so we must be the voice that cries out for them. We wouldn't treat our pets this way, so why must we treat other innocent animals this way. Please help me become my echo and together we change the future lives and humane deaths of these beautiful creatures.
