My close friend's beloved dog, Charlie, is scheduled for a court date to determine if his previous owner (who allegedly abused him, and broke his mother's hip) should be able to regain ownership of him. For certain family-related reasons, Charlie is in a city animal shelter, and cannot be adopted until the court case is finished.  My friend is very saddened by this, and wishes more than anything for Charlie's previous abusive owner not be allowed to retake ownership of him.  It is my wish that people will be willing to speak up and petition for Charlie's future, and stop his previous owner from possibly regaining ownership of him.
