I have been following a major and upsetting story about a abandoned zoo in Yemen deserted due to conflict there. This week by week of me researching this is showing the animals left starving. No water and now I see they have been forced into cannibalism of which this is happening against their own family members. I find it sickening how this report is being shown and nothing is being done about it. There is people in the local community there fighting with no income or food themselves and retired people using what they have to save them. I feel as a thriving country we should be able to help them also. Save them from there cages. Get them healthy and well. Give them what life they have left the best it can be. I think people find it too easy to turn a blind eye to this as it not there problem. Well unfortunately the moment they were taken from the wild or born from one of the animals in the cage were made our problem. Now we have deserted them. If I could I would go there and bring them all I could with all I could. But I feel with the support of all charities and the country we could make more awareness to get the goverment to save these magical and amazing animals who deserve the life we should have given them. I really feel that if people there are fighting to make a difference then we should do the same. Imagine if everyone in the United kingdom or just England could give 1 pound? Just 1 pound we could raise millions to give these animals what they need and what they deserve. I have never done a petition before and I like so many others have seen stories and turned a blind eye. But this is shocking and really hits me hard. I really feel we can change many of these animals lives. I thanks you all for reading this and hope we can make enough noise to get someone to do something. Ryan Herdman
