A couple was arrested Monday the 25th for felony animal mistreatment. They severely malnourished, abused, neglected and eventually abandoned 3-5 year old pit bull Tank. The police were called a few days prior and received a tip that there was a dog tied up next to an rv in an abandoned lot in Alexander, Ar. that could hardly even stand. When police saw the dog, they notices his head and has had swollen to 3x it's normal size; and due to the pain of this, the dog refused to eat. The couple was ordered to get the dog veteranary treatment writhin three days; when the police returned later, the couple had disappeared with the dog. Several days later tank was abandoned in the Bryant, Ar animal shelter where he is finally reviewing the care he deserves. But sadly, the couple was released from prison ALTHOUGH ANIMAL ABUSE IS A FELONY IN ARKANSAS. Please help put cruel people behind bars for as long as possible!! Don't let another animal be a victim!!
