The overwhelming suffering and psychological trauma that over 100 million animals a year are put through everyday is unbelievable. They're just like us. They feel emotion, pain, and primates, monkeys specifically are only one chromosome away from us, but yet if a person were to be locked inside an empty metal room only to be taken out to inhale poisonous gases and be injected with chemicals and just back in while the scientists 'observe' their obvious reactions they go through, it would be considered illegal? I just don't get it. Especially when there's exceptional ways to test these products using technology or REAL human volunteers or human tissue and cell donations that would provide much better results considering its on the same species the product is made for. Yet, the government and even The Environmental Protection Agency spends more for the animals being tested on rather than putting it into something more logical and humane. None of the dogs asked for it, none of the rats asked for it or the bunnies. They don't deserve to live their life that way and I believe it needs to come to an end.
