Angora rabbits are farmed in mostly China, caged in awful conditions, bread just for their fur, for the fur industry, for companies like Kangol to use in their hats and products. The fur of the rabbit is ripped from their bodies without anaesthetic (see YouTube vid) causing them excruciating agony. Kangol say they only use "shorn" fur, but how do we know, and they will not give me proof or respond but for the usual pro-forma jibba jabba (i.e. "go away and mind your own business, we'll do what we want")? Even if it was shorn fur, the animals still should not be abused for their fur. It 2021 and we have so, so many cruelty free fabric options! How would you feel if you were kept in a cage just so a more powerful being could farm you for your hair and come every few months and rip it from your head without anaesthetic? In 2015 PETA claimed a victory over the use of Angora rabbit fur in the fashion industry (see YouTube vid) but Kangol continue to be involved in this cruel and abusive industry.
