Find beauty beyond breed: Care for stray dogs
The Issue
Solving these challenges for dogs and also including people and the environment, requires a much deeper understanding of dog demographics and the approaches that reduce suffering and increase well-being in the communities. 800 million dogs share our world, about 40% of those are “homeless.” There are high incidences of disease and injury in stray dogs, also referred to as street dogs, and their lives are much shorter than those of pet dogs. In addition, a stray dog would not possess a single household's regular food and water. Usually, such dogs are not given safe shelter and their conduct is not greatly monitored by a particular household. These dogs are also not vaccinated and lack basic medical treatment against rabies or other diseases. Unfortunately, before they are a year old, nearly 75 percent of puppies born to street dies. Some people don’t understand and appreciate the kindness each dog has. Dogs have hearts too and they also feel the world’s cruelty. The campaign, “Find Beauty Beyond Breed: Care for stray dogs.” aims to spread awareness about dogs abused. The campaign plans to build a community that takes care and protects our loving dogs whatever breed it is. We all want change in this world full of wickedness especially amongst animals. We should stop this violence and criminality that our world is facing right now. Let’s start on ourselves and be the change we want to see in the world.
