Cheetahs are in dire threat of becoming extinct right now because their numbers are dropping rapidly due to poaching and habitat loss. In the early 1900's there were approximately 100,000 Cheetahs in the wild. Now the current population is 7,100 and if something isn't done about this soon cheetahs will be nothing but a thing of the past. This petition is about raising the conservation status of the cheetah and bring more awareness to the species survival. These animals deserve a second chance at life and should protected by law to help ensure their survival, and so that the future generations should be able to witness them with their own eyes.
