While many of us are not specifically against children wearing masks, we believe this decision should be left to the parents to decide what is best for their children. There is a lack of scientific data which validates the effectiveness of masks or provides clear evidence that they cannot cause harm to children who’s bodies are still developing. Without this information readily available to government officials and parents, it is not possible to accurately weigh the risks vs benefits, and make a truly informed decision based on scientific fact. Therefore we request the board of education request Governor Murphy remove the mask mandate and restore parents rights to decide what is best for their children. 
This mask mandate can be used as the precedent used by this administration to mandate our children take the vaccine in order to attend school. As we have all seen, the scientific information about the benefits and risks of the vaccines are also subject to constant revision, and the lack of long term studies should also disqualify these vaccines from being mandated for anyone, especially our children.

We are in no way judging people who choose to wear masks or take the vaccine as it it their right to do so. All we are asking is that the government and other citizens respect our right to do the same.
