L&Q response

Thank you everyone! Please keep sharing so hopefully we can make a difference for other people who are struggling as we are. As for my personal case, they have agreed to accept a GP report instead of OT this will take weeks instead of over a year. It’ll move us into a band 2 which is emergency medical move, how long they’ll take to find us a property is another matter. But hopefully this time next year he’ll be settled into a new safer property with he’s own safe space & wet-room so he can have some privacy & independence as currently we only have a bath and I have to supervise my 11 year old son, you can imagine that’s not ideal for him.
a change really needs to happen, I have two neighbours above me with serious mobility issues as well who should be in ground floor properties and are having to fight for their rights & safety. It’s not acceptable & they blame shortages yet I know of properties that have been empty for years owned by Lewisham council, my nans property has been empty since august 2022 so it’s not due to shortages, it’s all about money.
