We are asking for your support to keep the Penn State Outing Club at the university. The university is currently banning the club from going outside. The Outing Club is a ninety eight year old club that has strong roots in helping the community in terms of trail and river cleanups and is even responsible for the creation of both the Mid State Trail and the Allegheny Front Trail. The Outing Club is also responsible for taking thousands of new backpackers out backpacking for the first time. The Outing Club has helped students find their confidence, transforming students into confident, young outdoor enthusiasts because of the empowerment and mentorship the club has provided. This is for all the students who finally found a safe space on campus because of PSOC. PSOC has allowed students to feel safe and heard and that is being threatened by the University's decision to ban Outing Club from going outside.
