Penn State: Give Students a Partial Tuition and Housing Refund

Penn State has moved all instruction online and closed all campuses until at least April 6, 2020. Until then, most students are required to stay at home and do online classes from home.
For three weeks, students will not be using the housing or facilities that they have paid to use. Nor will they be receiving as high quality of an education as they are paying for - with a tuition far higher than World Campus or the vast majority of other state schools. The premium we pay for a high quality education from Penn State University - one of the most highly regarded state schools in the country - is no longer valid.
As we are paying the same tuition for three weeks as we would if we were still using all the campus facilities, living in our dorms, and receiving the quality of education that Penn State offers, yet getting none of those things, we ask that Penn State give us a partial refund on our tuition for the difference in costs that account for what we are neither using nor receiving. Otherwise, Penn State is keeping our tuition while blocking us from getting what we are paying for - essentially theft of our hard earned money. Many students struggle to pay off their student loan debt over their lifetime, and to see it squandered in this manner is something that none of us will stand for.
