Loved ones are lost every single day to overdoses. Heroine, prescription drugs, K2, and many other illegal drugs all contribute to this epidemic. Many family sit back and watch their child without any where to turn. They refuse the help, because they are so strung out. The addict believes that they can handle their problem. They can not. Addiction is a disease. Addicts do not set out to overdose. It is a risk they take every time they participate, yes, but it is not what they set out to do.  Something needs to be done. I believe with being able to get them into rehab, giving them some much needed counseling, and the love and support from the families that so desperately love them, they can turn their lives around. They may even be able to be addiction.  Pennsylvania is one of the many states that does not allow family members to sign their loved ones into rehab. This could save so many lives. I understand there's a risk in doing this. Not everyone wants help. If we could save a few people though, it would be a success. Drug addiction is a disease. These people need help.
