We want to petition the Senate and the House of Representatives, to change the firework laws in the state. We are missing out in a huge market that surrounding states like Maryland and Delaware are able to partake in. Easily a couple million in taxes made off of sales around the state that could be used for schools and infrastructure. I think it's incredibly stupid that there are firework stores in Pennsylvania but we are only allowed to shop from one aisle of the store. Come on this is our OWN state and we can't even shop in the store cause only out of state residents are allowed in. This makes no sense. For those who don't know the background of this law it's been in place for 77 years and it states that we as Pennsylvania residents can only set off novelty/ ground based fireworks. I want to change this law with the help of the PA state government to allow us to USE air based fireworks that are legal in other states.This ancient law makes zero sense because people are going to find a way to get ahold of fireworks regardless and PA is missing out on a piece of the pie. Help me change this law!!! Everybody contact you're local state rep about this lets get this law changed!!! Let the consumers have a voice!!
