In the State of Pennsylvania, those who commit acts of Animal Cruelty receive only misdemeanor charges. Our animal counterparts deserve better. They have served us since the dawn of mankind; working side-by-side with us in the fields, retrieving game for our consumption, or even just sitting in our laps. I propose that Animal Cruelty charges be upgraded to felony status.

By signing this petition, concerned citizens of Pennsylvania are making the statement that animal cruelty and abuse will not be taken lightly. My hopes in making this change would be that it may act as a deterrent towards future crimes.
