Every single day there's a new story on the news about a case of animal abuse. Whether it be a dog tied up to be left in the trash can, a household full of abandoned animals, or most recently finding puppies with their eyes glued shut and face is burnt. People like this deserve more than the equivalent to a slap on the wrist. Let's start putting these people in jail. Taking away their freedom. These animals deserve more justice than the abusers simply paying a stupid fine. Who benefits from the money paid anyways besides the court systems!? Start locking up these disgusting people who think it's okay to harm these helpless animals.
