State Rep Brian Sims has been working tirelessly to keep this legislation moving, AND WHAT GREAT PROGRESS! With a vote of 19-4, the House Judiciary Committee has voted in favor of legislation to amend the state's Hate Crimes Law to include sexual orientation, gender identity, gender and disability! This is HUGE and special thanks have to go to Rep. Brendan Boyle and to both the Republican Majority Chair and Democratic Minority Chair, who voted in favor of it. WHAT WE NEED FROM YOU: Now all eyes are on PA State Rep. Mike Turzai, who as the Majority Leader gets to decide if this bill is called up for a vote by the full house in the remaining THREE days the Speaker of the House has scheduled for legislators to be in Session!
