PA Sexual Orientation Legislation Update

Dear Friends, Happy Monday Morning to you. Thank you for your help spreading the word about this incredible opportunity to change PA Hate Crime Law to include protection for Sexual Orientation. Lawmakers are making huge strides!!!! Brian Sims hosted a rally in Love Park, Philadelphia, at the close of this past week which was incredible. Lawmakers, Law enforcers, and voters all turned out to hear some powerful words from some amazing speakers. What incredible support you have all lent the victims! Victim B, who has his jaw wired shut for another 7 weeks, celebrated his birthday the same day as the Rally. He was very uplifted by all of the kindness and support of everyone who attended. As we move into the week ahead, I ask you -in your own social media accounts- to please keep your language respectful and merciful regarding the suspects. The Philadelphia District Attorney, Seth Williams, and his team are on top of ensuring justice is carried out to the fullest extent, so lets all be mindful of keeping our language free of hate. (I think we all have had enough hate for a while) Instead let's focus on the positive outcome this can carry into the future for our friends, for our family members, and for those not born yet. Let's change PA legislation to provide equal protection and dignity for folks of every sexual orientation. Ask everyone you know to sign the petition... the moment is NOW to make the victims wish come true: Make sure this type of hateful act never happens again. Let's ensure that PA recognizes ALL types of Love.
