Charge Cody Hetrick and Alex Smith with Felony Animal Cruelty

The Issue

Recently, a video taken by teenagers Cody Hetrick and Alex Smith documents the boys kicking a severely injured deer that they shot down. If that wasn't bad enough, they then chose to post it on social media for the world to see.

Unsurprisingly, this resulted in an online uproar; no one was amused by the video. The teens can be seen laughing as they kick the deer, whom is desperately trying to stand and escape. It's sickening to watch, and it is shocking to know that they still have not been charged with felony animal cruelty for this crime.

If the deer had been a cat or a dog, there would have been no question as to whether they should face felony animal cruelty charges. This act of horrible abuse should not be treated any different. Please sign this petition to tell the Pennsylvania Game Commission and District Attorney Jeffrey Burkett that the hunting rights for both boys should be revoked for life and that they should face felony animal cruelty charges for this heinous act.
