Re-evaluate crosswalk signaling in Easton, PA

The Issue

We the undersigned ask the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation to re-evaluate the signaling and signage at various intersections throughout downtown Easton, particularly the intersection of Larry Holmes Drive (PA 611) and South Third Street. Drivers in this area regularly ignore their responsibility to yield to pedestrians in crosswalks, causing pedestrian accidents and near-misses. There is no dedicated "walk" signal for pedestrians at this intersection, creating continuous motor traffic flow. For the safety of all pedestrians in this area, we petition PennDOT to perform a traffic study on this intersection and to change the light pattern to all red when walk signs are lit.
