Husband slaps wife, father slaps daughter, brother slaps sister...

While the abused woman clenches her face, lying on the floor from the impact of the slap, her lip bleeds and she is trying to stifle her sobbing.. 

How many times have we seen this visual play out in our Pakistani TV dramas ? 

Umpteen number of times ! 

This narrative needs to change. These disturbing images which show women being subjected to violence/abuse need to be censored and completely banned. This propagates and reinstills the notion that it is okay to physically assault women, while they will continue to be repressed and subdued. 

I request PEMRA to censor and ban visuals showing violence on women in Pakistani TV dramas. I need your support to make this vision a reality! Support this cause !
