On a  recent episode of A&E's Hoarders, "Peggy" was found to have carcasses of 25 dogs, birds, and turtles in her house.   These animals were all locked in cages.  The organizer, Dorothy, was certain that these animals had all died from neglect.  Peggy showed a remarkable lack of remorse for their deaths.

At the end of the episode, Peggy admitted responsibility for the animals' deaths. However, no charges were filed against Peggy (that we know of), and she was painted as the victim. Hoarding is a very serious disorder.  However, hoarding is not an excuse for neglecting several defenseless animals to the point of death. 

Pekin, IL police department, we ask that you investigate the deaths of these animals, and prosecute Peggy to the fullest extent of the law.
